Course information

Discover and learn how to apply in a company, tools, and methods to create a sustainable innovation as well as design your own sustainable innovation from target user definition to launch campaign preparation. Develop your creative potential to innovate!

You will be able to contribute to building a more responsible world through sustainable innovations which are meaningful for consumers.

Master classes will be included within the course presented by experts and innovation managers.

  • Duration: 3 weeks
  • Live online sessions (on Mondays from 2:30pm to 5pm Paris time): each week live sessions be organized with the professor.
  • Autonomous work (with and without interaction with the professor): around 15 hours each week.

  • Who is this course for?

    ESSCA Online Campus Summer/Winter School is aimed at anyone who wants to:

    • Discover a cross-cultural experience in group projects that prepare them to communicate successfully in an international world.
    • Have coaching from teachers who will help guide them through challenges and identify opportunities for their future.
    • Gain insights into certain subjects and explore their options before choosing a Master’s degree.
    • Improve their postgraduate knowledge and apply this knowledge to their professional life.
    • Acquire new skills rewarded with ECTS credits with a balance between theory and practice.

    Prerequisite

    • First-year university (or similar) studies completed in any discipline.
    • English proficiency: Conversational (level B2 Common European Framework: CEFR).
  • What is the content of this program?

    This course is a mix of synchronous, asynchronous and autonomous preparation. Live sessions will be recorded but your presence in the live sessions is mandatory.

    Time zone for live sessions: Central European Time (CET).

    During your course, you will attend each week live sessions with the professor.

    Define target customer & consumer needs

    • Learn about innovation life cycle, consumer adoption of innovation, user centered innovation as well as persona method.
    • Work on design thinking, societal trends, creativity development

    Generate Ideas

    • Boost your creativity and discover, ideation, innovation brainstorming, creative techniques.

    Detect external Ideas

    • Study innovation scooting, value of an innovation, open innovation (startups, partner companies, universities and consumer), intellectual property

    Develop & launch Innovation

    • Deepen the following subject: Innovation and technology management, innovation development process, new product development
    • Learn how to plan a communication and innovation launch campaign.

    Project

    Throughout the course, students will develop an innovation project from definition of target consumer to the creation of a prototype as well as the preparation of a launch campaign construction of an innovation.

    • Carry out an innovation project.
    • Develop creative potential.

    By the end of the course, you will be able to use creative process to conceive innovation and create an innovation project.

    Transfer Credit

    If you wish to transfer ESSCA Online Campus academic credit, obtain written approval from the dean or adviser at your home institution prior to your registration at ESSCA Online Campus. Such approval is for your protection only; it is not required by Summer/Winter School at ESSCA Online Campus, which cannot approve credits for transfer. We will provide transcript to have grades sent to your home institution.
